Financial communications firm Citigate Dewe Rogerson has been appointed the PR agency supporting partner for the Boao Forum for Asia Financial Cooperation Conference, being held in London in November.
The non-profit organisation holds an annual financial conference in Boao, Hainan Island in China. Previous attendees include Elon Musk and Bill Gates.
The London event will see several senior financial executives, government officials and others discuss cooperation between financial institutions in the UK and China.
Citigate has offices in London, Hong Kong and Beijing, and will handle the communications strategy for the conference from these locations.
The agency has deep experience advising Chinese state-owned enterprises on outbound communications, and global financial institutions on inbound China PR.
Jonathan Flint, managing director of Citigate in London, said: "Boao Forum for Asia is considered the ‘WEF Davos of Asia’. We’re deeply honoured to have been selected as the PR agency supporting partner for their November London conference.
"With the major theme being China-Europe financial integration, we believe that we are perfectly positioned to be an effective communications bridge between China, the UK and Europe."
