NEW YORK: Spark has expanded its New York-based leadership team by appointing Faith Paris and Nicole Bestard as MDs of its East Coast consumer and enterprise practices, respectively.
Both, in newly created positions, report to Tony Telloni, GM of Spark’s New York office.
The firm is "looking to build the enterprise practice on the East Coast and doubling down more with the consumer group in New York and across the board," said Telloni, who joined Spark this spring.
He cited Paris’ expertise in content development and integrated marketing.
While Bestard will focus on the enterprise practice, Telloni said she brings a diverse background of skills to the table and understands the changing PR model, so she can "do a little bit of everything."
"We really want to establish the New York office first and foremost from our employee standpoint and get the culture and client base right," he explained.
Paris most recently served as a senior media strategist at Marketing Maven Public Relations, according to her LinkedIn profile. She also previously worked at Edelman, Ketchum, and Porter Novelli.
Before joining Spark, Bestard was a VP at Shift Communications. Prior to that, she worked at Gabriel Marketing Group, Jarvis Communications, and Wagstaff Worldwide.
For the rest of this year and into 2016, Spark will explore more integrated opportunities while improving its talent and new business process, Telloni said.
Spark also recently hired Toby Trevarthen as its first chief narrative officer and Tim Donovan as executive narrative strategist, a newly created role.
One of the agency’s primary objectives is "making sure we’re evolving beyond the typical PR model and looking to build narratives for companies and brands in a way that is authentic and long-lasting," said Telloni.
