The agency, which is led by co-founder and CEO Gary Vaynerchuk, employs around 550 people across four offices in the US. It is currently looking for a London office to be its European headquarters, with plans to open in late spring or early summer.
The London office will be led by the group’s vice-president Eric Fulwiler. Regarding the prospect of further offices opening outside London and the UK, he told PRWeek: "We will go where the business takes us."
The plan is for the London office to work with current clients and clients originating from the UK.
Fulwiler said: "Global has always been part of our vision for VaynerMedia. We've been supporting existing clients on a global level for a while now. Opening an office in London allows us to better support existing and future business in Europe, and to extend our close partnerships with US-based social platforms."
VaynerMedia works across the FMCG, consumer packaged goods and retail sectors, as well as US TV networks. Its biggest global clients include General Electric. The company's US offices are in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chattanooga in Tennessee.
