Sanderson has been a partner at Powerscourt for the past four years, leading its financial comms practice. Previously he was managing director at Financial Dynamics (now FTI Consulting), which he joined in 1994. There he set up the technology and telecoms practice.
He has worked on Delta Two's attempted bid for Sainsbury's, Ford's sales of Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover
and Volvo, and the sale of Orange to France Telecom. More recently, he advised on KPN’s finance raising and sale of E-Plus to Telefónica Deutschland.

The appointment follows a number of new hires at Buchanan, including Henry Harrison-Topham who joined as a partner in July and Vicky Watkins who joined as an associate director in May.
