NEW YORK: Prosek Partners has brought on Finsbury’s former US CEO Andy Merrill as partner.
Merrill joined the agency last week and reports to the firm’s managing partner Jennifer Prosek. He told PRWeek that he will support Prosek in managing and expanding the firm.
"Given my background, I will be particularly helpful in the areas of transactions, issues and crisis management, special situations, and litigation support," said Merrill.
He added that Prosek has "a lot of momentum on its back," so he will specifically leverage its energy as he aims to grow the firm.
Before joining Prosek, Merrill served for four years as a senior MD at Teneo. While there, he counseled CEOs and boards of directors in the areas of corporate strategy, business operations, media and IR, corporate and executive reputation management, transaction communications, and other special situations, according to a statement.
He left Teneo on September 18. A Teneo representative was not immediately available for comment on Merrill’s replacement.
This summer, amid its corruption crisis, FIFA retained Teneo to work across operational and reputational priorities.
Prior to Teneo, Merrill was Finsbury’s US CEO for five years, leading the expansion of the firm’s US business. He led the ultimate merger of Finsbury's US office with Robinson Lehrer Montgomery.
RLM Finsbury rebranded as Finsbury last September.
Earlier in his career, Merrill was global MD of Edelman’s financial communications practice. He also previously served as a partner and MD at Abernathy MacGregor.
