Kevin Platshon’s forward-thinking stance made him a 2014 finalist at The Cojones Awards, a global competition that celebrates those who have disrupted the status quo and embraced the role of modern marketer. Recently, Platshon took his skills to GoFundMe, where he oversees social and content marketing for the crowdfunding platform. Previously, he held two roles within GoPro: senior manager of digital and social marketing, and senior manager of CRM and engagement marketing. During his time with GoPro, Platshon told Forbes: "GoPro classifies itself as a viral hardware company. Every time a piece of content is shared, it’s inspiring someone, even if we don’t show the product at all."
Platshon is also active in the organization Waddlebird, which he founded to drive awareness of climate change and deforestation. Before making his mark at one of the world’s hottest companies, he led digital marketing for Levi Strauss.
