Joseph McKeating’s career was on the fast track at agencies like Rubenstein PR and Prosek Partners. But having already advised several friends active in the New York startup community, he decided to venture out on his own and offer digital marketing, PR, and business development services to younger companies. Since launching Pulsar Strategy two years ago, he has had no reason to look back, thanks to a full client roster. McKeating has also established himself as a thought leader on successful startup strategies. He writes articles on the topic, and also teaches marketing and PR at graduate and undergraduate level, including at New York University, Fashion Institute of Technology, and University of Dayton.
McKeating began his career ghost writing and handling PR and digital marketing efforts for financial services and public technology companies. Much of his focus was on securing media placements for clients in publications like The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.
