Former colleagues and clients at LaunchSquad – where Alan Cooper led PR, content marketing, and social media for the agency – rave about his expertise and positive work ethic. It is no wonder one of the agency’s clients eventually recruited him. In March, Cooper was made director, communications of San Francisco-based Earnest, a startup that is shaking up the finance industry.
Earnest uses an innovative algorithm to provide low-interest loans to people with little or no credit, in particular recent graduates and young professionals. Cooper recently led messaging around a new student loan refinancing product. He was at LaunchSquad for almost six years where his handful of accounts included Earnest, and before that was director, content strategy for Original9 Media, a LaunchSquad subsidiary. He also developed and designed press materials and collateral for Davies Public Affairs.
