Watch: Clifford French asks 'who's got the balls?' in Ladbrokes Rugby World Cup campaign

Sports and entertainment agency Clifford French has pitted representatives from the worlds of football and rugby against each other in a social campaign for Ladbrokes ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

Clifford French, which previously worked on a transfer deadline day campaign for Ladbrokes, was again called in to conceive and create a Rugby World Cup campaign for the betting firm.

With help from video production agency Ball Street, Clifford French created the below video in which two teams - one captained by ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard and the other led by former rugby international Austin Healey - undertake a number of challenges to test the old adage 'rugby is a hooligan’s game played by gentleman, football is a gentleman’s game played by hooligans'.

Jessica Bridge, Ladbrokes PR manager, said: "This is a debate that has raged between these two great sports for decades and a home Rugby World Cup provides the perfect opportunity to finally settle the argument once and for all."

Social media around the campaign is being handled in-house by Ladbrokes, while Clifford French was charged with promoting the video to media at launch.
