Forge toasts retainer from Colliers Cheddar

The Forge Communications has won the Colliers Cheddar account on a retained basis, following a competitive pitch against three other agencies. The agency will develop an ongoing comms plan for Colliers' Powerful Welsh Cheddar using consumer and social channels and will also handle trade relations at key points of the year.

Bite adds duo to digital team

Bite has hired Matt Whiting as its new head of digital. Whiting joins Bite from the US, where he led agency Waggener Edstrom's digital and social strategy for clients including Microsoft, T-Mobile and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Bite has also recruited Steve Gradidge as digital and social media consultant.

Edelman and Ketchum staff go in-house in Asia

As PRWeek Asia reports, international property group Grosvenor has hired Amanda Cheung, formerly a director with Edelman, to head its Asia-Pacific marketing and communications, while architecture and design studio Lead 8 has appointed Kitty Parkes, formerly of Ketchum in both the UK and Asia, as its global PR & comms lead.

CIPR appoints new fellows and Chart.PR

The CIPR has appointed three new fellows and a new Chartered Public Relations Practitioner, in recognition for their "outstanding work". The new fellows are Julie McCabe, MD of Massive Public Relations; Gary Taylor, a PR officer at West Yorkshire Combined Authority; and Chris Harrison, director at JPR in Belfast. Sandra Gustus, formerly internal comms manager at Nissan Europe, has been awarded Chart.PR status.
