Your call: Alibaba's 1,900-word response to Barron's - strong or way too long?

Alibaba Group's communications leader penned a lengthy response to a highly critical Barron's article. Did he go overboard?

After an article in the investment publication Barron’s suggested that Alibaba’s share price could drop an additional 50%, the company struck back hard.

Alibaba communications leader and SVP of international corporate affairs Jim Wilkinson wrote a 1,900-word letter to the editor. He didn’t hold back.

"Your September 12 article with the sensational headline ‘Alibaba: Why it could fall 50% further’ lacks three key ingredients – integrity, professionalism, and fair play," Wilkinson wrote.

Did he go too far – at least in terms of verbosity? Tweet at @prweekus or vote below with your call.
