Greg Apple, head of marketing for app HelloGbye, which launches this fall, intends to grow it into "the world’s most loved travel brand." And given his talent for launching new products to market, he’s likely to succeed. Apple is spearheading the go-to-market strategy and managing the customer experience team to ensure the app, which helps users book and organize travel itineraries, is best in class. Toronto-based Apple recently hired Cohn & Wolfe to help build buzz about the app.
His keen sense of understanding sales cycle management, negotiation strategies, and strategic marketing comes from years of sales experience. Apple is former national sales manager of DMTI Spatial, where he successful built a $5 million pipeline. And before that, as senior sales consultant at Google, he was responsible for convincing telecom companies in Canada to shift their media dollars to the Internet giant from traditional advertising.
