Ruder Finn promotes three in China leadership team

Agency names new head of national luxury practice and two regional GMs

Ruder Finn has promoted three members of staff to senior positions in its China leadership team.

Gao Ming, who has been the general manager of Ruder Finn Shanghai since 2008, has been promoted to head the National Luxury Practice.

Tony Dong, who joined Ruder Finn in February, takes over the general manager’s role in Shanghai. Grace Liang, who has been with Ruder Finn since 2003, has been promoted to general manager of Ruder Finn Guangzhou.

Gao Ming, who joined Ruder Finn in 2005, has been instrumental in growing the 60-strong luxury team. Prior to joining Ruder Finn Asia, he founded and managed West Village Agency, a boutique public relations firm based in Shanghai.

Prior to joining Ruder Finn, Tony Dong was with Hill+Knowlton for 11 years, leading corporate, technology, financial communication, healthcare and digital practices in Shanghai.

Meanwhile Grace Liang joined Ruder Finn in 2003 as the leader of the South China Healthcare practice. She has also played a major role in developing a key crisis preparedness system, crisis training, crisis manual and spokesperson training for many clients.
