WHITE PLAINS, NY: Heineken USA has hired Amy Palladino as senior director of corporate communications.
Palladino stepped into the role on Wednesday, reporting to Tara Rush, SVP and chief corporate relations officer. Rush was the most recent person to hold the senior director of corporate communications position at the company before she was promoted in June, succeeding former comms leader Stacey Tank.
Managing three people, Palladino is overseeing day-to-day corporate communications and brand public relations, internal communications, employee and distributor engagement, consumer response, and crisis communications.
"My overarching goal is to help Heineken build and sustain its reputation as a leader in this upscale beer category," Palladino said. "This is an incredible brand I have admired for years."
Most recently, Palladino was a director for three years in Emanate’s New York office. Her clients included Heineken USA, Hilton Garden Inn, Philips Corporate, and Philips Lighting.
She departed Emanate last Friday, less than a week before Access Communications and Emanate said they will merge at the start of next year into a combined firm known as Access Emanate Communications. The merged shop will operate as a standalone firm inside Ketchum’s network.
Before that, Palladino was an SVP at Ketchum. During her six-year stint at the Omnicom Group firm, she led integrated planning for Ikea, Kodak, Best Buy, and Philips. Previously, she was VP and group director at GCI Group, which was merged into Cohn & Wolfe, and served as communications director for Teach for America.
Heineken USA appointed Jessica Robinson, a former brand director for Sierra Mist at PepsiCo, as senior director of marketing for portfolio brands in July. She succeeded Charles van Es, who joined coconut water brand Vita Coco as head of marketing for the Americas in June.
