Zeno Group has named John Kerr as its first chief digital officer (CDO). The role will be an addition to his continued leadership of the firm’s Asia-Pacific network.
Kerr continues to report to Zeno CEO Barby K. Siegel.
In this newly created role, he will lead Zeno’s efforts to globalize its digital strategy and offerings, by "expanding its current capabilities, and increasing the depth and breadth of client engagements."
"Kerr is a recognized thought leader in the social-digital space; over the last several years, he has effectively led the development of a highly differentiated and acclaimed digital capability for Zeno across Asia," said Siegel. "The ways in which people interact with online platforms, their expectations from content, and how brands fit in the conversations are continuously changing at an ever-increasing pace. Kerr’s appointment reflects our ambition to strengthen our position as the agency partner that consistently brings forward innovation, disruption and measurable business value to our clients, through transformative digital and integrated communications."
Kerr said, "I’m proud to take the reins of an incredibly strong team already delivering a portfolio of great work. As digital becomes a bigger proportion of our business, we will add specialists and specialisms that help our clients truly reinvent how they communicate with their customers – across their entire consumer journey, and experience."
Kerr’s 20-year career has spanned positions in seven countries, across four continents, in the areas of communications, interactive and brand marketing. Kerr will remain based in Singapore.
