What's it like heading up media and publicity for the most storied baseball team in America? "Hectic," New York Yankees director of media and publicity Jason Zillo told PRWeek on Wednesday.
Zillo sat down with PRWeek senior reporter Lindsay Stein during Wednesday's Yankees versus Astros game to share some tactics of the Bronx Bombers' PR team before, during, and after the players are on the field.
"We actually get a lot of our work done during the game," Zillo said. "The focus obviously is out on the field - that's the time we're responding to requests, working on post-game notes to provide to the media...we travel tomorrow after the game so there's a bunch of stuff that we have to prepare."
