The agency is now handling all UK media stories for the holiday destination. It will implement campaigns throughout the year and is hosting a number of themed press trips to the Caribbean islands.

One of the Brighter Group’s first projects is to promote the 65th Anniversary Tour for the Lord's Taverners, the cricket charity that works to help disadvantaged children enjoy sport. The event, which will take place in October, will organise pro-celebrity cricket matches on the islands' beaches.

Cherrie Osborne, ‎director of tourism for the UK and Europe at the tourism authority, said: "The Brighter Group’s passion for the destination, its unrivalled knowledge of the travel business and its top connections within the industry made it our preferred PR partner. We are already working together on some great campaigns to promote Antigua and Barbuda."
