Fila hires Three Halves to lead UK digital comms
Italian sportswear brand Fila has appointed Three Halves on a retained contract to handle its UK digital comms, following a competitive pitch. The agency will help the brand to engage with longstanding and new customers and build its digital presence. In the past Fila's comms have been run internally.
Udemy appoints CubanEight for UK PR brief
Global learning and teaching marketplace Udemy has brought in CubanEight to raise brand awareness in the UK, after winning a pitch. The agency will initially work on a campaign basis. Udemy offers 30,000 courses to more than seven million students in 190 countries.
Italy’s SEC acquires Germany’s Kohl PR
Italian comms group SEC has acquired 75 per cent of the shares in Berlin-based agency Kohl PR. Kohl’s turnover will be nearly €1.5m (£1.1m) in 2015 and its management team will remain in place, SEC said. SEC has more than 100 staff in Italy, owns firms in Brussels and Madrid and last month signed a deal to enter the Iranian market.
PennWell retains Aspectus on power event
Publisher PennWell has reappointed Aspectus as its comms partner for the Power-Gen Europe and Renewable Energy World Europe events; the sixth consecutive year that Aspectus will work on the event. The agency begins work next month for the June 2016 show, being held in Milan.
BeautyMART establishes consultancy and PR division BRANDstand
Online and pop-up beauty retailer BeautyMART has created a PR and consultancy division called BRANDstand. Led by BeautyMART co-founders Millie Kendall and Anna-Marie Solowij, former beauty director of British Vogue, it launches with client Barely Cosmetics, a new skincare and make-up brand already sold online by BeautyMART.
