NEW YORK: Porter Novelli has brought on former Feinstein Kean Healthcare SVP and patient engagement lead Catherine Fink as an EVP in its health and wellness practice.
Fink, who joined the firm on August 14, is reporting to CEO Karen van Bergen. She is serving as a client relationship leader, which is a title given to Porter Novelli executives leading one of the agency’s top 30 accounts. The business in which Fink is overseeing was not disclosed.
Fink, who confirmed she is a newly added EVP in the New York health and wellness practice, will also help manage a cross-office team and deliver counsel to clients.
She said her expertise spans educating and marketing to healthcare professionals and patients, which gives her a "well-rounded perspective of the patient experience," such as priorities in the pharmaceutical space.
"Patients are asking to be heard," she said.
When it comes to advising clients, Fink said "being open and transparent" – so all parties involved are on the same page – is integral to navigating the highly regulated healthcare space.
Ahead of her time at Feinstein Kean Healthcare, Fink was owner and principal of Catherine L. Fink Healthcare Communications. Before that, she served as a consultant and strategist at GCI Health as well as at Sudler Hennessey. She also previously cofounded and served as CEO of Eden Communications Group, according to LinkedIn.
Earlier in her career, she worked in public affairs at Showtime Networks.
A Feinstein Kean Healthcare representative was not immediately available for comment about Fink’s departure.
