The account is retained.

Hisense, which acquired Sharp America's TV business earlier this month, makes TV screens for Philips and Loewe, and according to its website has a global output of more than 16.1 million TVs annually. This is the first time the company has hired a UK PR agency.

Howard Grindrod, Hisense UK’s deputy managing director, said: "As part of a leading global electronics company, the UK arm has grown steadily since 2012. With major sponsorship deals with like-minded brands such as Infiniti Red Bull Racing, it is the perfect time to increase brand awareness in the UK through PR.

"Little Red Rooster’s extensive contacts book across the consumer lifestyle spectrum means it is the right agency to lead our media relations programme."

Henry Griffiths, partner at Little Red Rooster, added: "Hisense is well placed to push way beyond its challenger brand status and we are excited to be starting with the company at the beginning of the journey. With a series of competitively priced premium 4K TVs launching, Hisense has the right ingredients to disrupt the market."

The agency's clients also include home appliance brand Smeg, after winning the account earlier this summer, and Ruark Audio.
