The Romans did not competitively pitch for the project.

Working with the Innocent in-house team and production company Push UK, the agency has developed the Coconut Watering Hole – an emoji-powered bar in Shoreditch where drinks are bought using an emoji on people's mobile phones.

Clemmie Nettlefold, UK PR manager at Innocent, said: "The Romans came to us with the idea of a pop-up bar where the only currency was emoji and we loved it. It is the perfect way to celebrate the launch of our brand new coconut water range and support our ATL advertising campaign this summer."

The campaign aims to target existing coconut water drinkers as well as appealing to new customers to by emphasising the health benefits of drinking coconut water.

Misha Dhanak and Joe Sinclair, founders of The Romans, added: "Smiley face, smiley face, palm tree, sunshine."

The Romans launched in January this year and won its first retained account, music streaming service Spotify, in May.
