Your call: Did Honest Company do long-term damage to its reputation this week?

The eco-friendly company first stood behind its sunscreen after customers said it didn't work, then pivoted to a more sympathetic point of view.

Honest Company has been under fire from angry customers this summer, some of whom posted pictures on social media of their sunburns. Some bluntly said its products just don’t work.

Early this week, the Jessica Alba-founded company stood by its products, pointing out that only a small percentage of customers were complaining. Both PR pros and everyday customers scolded the company for being dismissive.

However, later on Monday, Honest did a U-turn, with founders Alba and Christopher Gavigan writing a blog post emphasizing their roles as parents and saying, "We are parents, too."

Was the change of course good enough? Or did Honest do long-term damage to its brand? Take our poll below or tweet at @PRWeekUS with your thoughts.
