It will help clients facing crises that require immediate emergency response capabilities, the firm said in a statement, by providing a team that can activate within 60 minutes

CHICAGO: Golin has hired Laura Sutphen to head the firm’s work in social purpose, corporate responsibility, and sustainability. Based in Chicago, Sutphen will report to Scott Farrell, president of global corporate communications. She previously worked at Ketchum.

WASHINGTON: Cassidy & Associates has named Russell Thomasson as EVP. He previously served as chief of staff for Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-TX).

LOS ANGELES: The Lagrant Foundation has appointed Raul Reis to its board of directors. He is the organization’s first Latino academic board member. Reis is dean of Florida International University’s school of journalism and mass communications.

DALLAS: Nunez PR Group has rebranded as TruePoint Communications. The rebranding reflects the agency’s core values and will allow it to best position its integrated marketing services, it said in a statement.

AUSTIN, TX: Boutique marketing and communications firm Salt and Company has named Meghan Flynn as EVP. She is also principal at Meghan Flynn PR. During her 20-year career, she has worked with brands such as Hershey, Skinnygirl, and Burger King.
