The company, which provides insurance, holidays and various other services and products for people aged over 50, told PRWeek "a number of firms" had been invited to submit proposals and that these were under consideration.
The brief will involve launching the new service as well as ongoing support.
A spokesman for Saga said: "PR is an essential ingredient in communicating with potential customers."
He added that the "stable door had closed" and no further agencies would be considered for the work.
