Sepp Blatter gets showered with cash at press conference gone awry

British prankster Lee Nelson threw a pile of fake cash at outgoing FIFA president Sepp Blatter in press conference stunt on Monday.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter was surprised on Monday at a press conference about the election of his successor by British prankster Simon Brodkin – better known by his stage name, Lee Nelson – who showered the embattled association president with a handful of cash.

The heckler, who has a history of public stunts including running on stage during a Kanye West performance, announced to the crowd that the cash was to support the North Korean bid for the 2026 World Cup. He then threw a pile of banknotes on Blatter as he was escorted offstage by security.

Blatter responded by saying, "This has nothing to do with football."
