Avian Media revamps leadership team 'beyond the silos of practices and functions'

INDIA: Avian Media has promoted Girish Balachandran to chief strategy officer after he spent the last eight months with responsibility for marquee client relationships and winning new business.

In the new role he will work closley with new business units covering digital and content marketing, CSR and advocacy.

Prior to joining Avian Media, Balachandran served as Europe, Middle East and Africa client development director at Waggener Edstrom and worked with Ketchum as a board director in London.

Meanwhile Neha Mehrotra (pictured above), who has been with the company for 11 years, has been named regional head of Avian Media North.

Shalmana Tendulkar (pictured above) has taken the reins of Avian West as regional head. She has over 18 years' PR experience and joined Avian last year to lead its consumer practice out of Mumbai.

Subramaniam M continues to lead operations for Avian Media in the South.

The firm continues to have managing director Nikhil Khanna and CEO Nitin Mantri at the helm. In the last year, Avian Media won 48 new clients including BMW, Sony, BlaBlaCar and Sesame Workshop.
