Djembe's clients include Angola‘s Sovereign Wealth Fund and Angola’s first investment bank, as well as governments and oil & gas companies. The firm is looking for an agency that specialises in reputation management, corporate and financial PR.

Mitchell Prather, MD of Djembe Communications, told PRWeek: "So much of our work in Africa focuses on issues pertaining to government-led investment and infrastructure – and in the context of a complicated region that has post-conflict issues and historically high levels of poverty, our strategy is to partner with or acquire an agency that has the intellectual bandwidth and experience to deal with such scenarios."

Prather added that the agency had begun conversations with firms in the UK.
