The agency will be responsible for raising awareness of SSAFA’s 130-year history, highlighting the wide-ranging support they offer to military servicemen and women, veterans and their families in the mainstream and consumer press.
The appointment follows the charity's recent rebrand. PHA Media will report to Sarah Brody, who leads SSAFA's in-house PR team.
Brody said: "We’ve reached an important phase in SSAFA’s journey and, after a significant pitch process in which PHA Media demonstrated a real understanding of our offering, we are excited and confident about what we can together achieve for the future. We have a number of interesting initiatives planned for 2015."
PHA Media’s director of PR Shelley Frosdick said: "For 130 years, SSAFA has supported servicemen and women and their families, and we are excited to be tasked with showcasing the great support they offer, long after active service has been completed."
