PRWeek understands no pitches took place, with Gramovox approaching Dynamo PR after being alerted to the work it has done on other crowdfunding campaigns.
To date the agency been involved in 35 crowdfunding initiatives. Its team has helped fund the Bluesmart suitcase, 3Doodler and Neeo smart remote, and projects it has been involved it have raised more than $17m (£11m) in total.
On the Gramovox account, Dynamo specifically worked in an advisory role, helping the firm choose goals, pledge levels and images for the campaign. It has also provided press office support.
Despite being in the early stages of the campaign, the Floating Record smashed its $50,000 target (£32,000), so far raising $848,887 (£543,573). A spokesperson for Dynamo told PRWeek the agreement in place was to help with the campaign and so far it is unclear whether the relationship will continue beyond this.
