Three agencies pitched for the account, with Proof securing a retainer. This marks the first time the analytics firm has appointed an agency for this brief.
Proof is tasked with communicating the value of Tessella's data analytics services to potential customers. This will involve targeting business leaders, IT decision makers and heads of R&D. PR activities will focus on securing media in research, life sciences and oil and gas industries.
The agency said it would use its experience of working with scientific institutions including the National Physical Laboratory and the Institut Laue-Langevin, along with tech and engineering organisations such as Dell, Arqiva and Babcock to achieve the aims of the brief.
Christina Tealdi, senior PR and marketing comms manager at Tessella, said the firm was impressed with Proof’s understanding of the industries and its experience.
"We believe this, combined with its strategic approach, will deliver a PR programme that demonstrates the depth of our expertise in solving complex problems, and shows our credibility in delivering value through analytics," Tealdi said.
