CANNES, FRANCE: A handful of PR firms won awards announced on Monday in categories other than PR at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Eric Mower + Associates won a Silver Mobile Lion for its work on behalf of Domtar, one of the largest paper products companies in the world.

In the Promo & Activation category, two PR firms left with hardware. Catalyst was recognized for its work with entrant agency Droga5, which won a Silver Lion, on Under Armour’s I Will What I Want campaign starring Gisele Bundchen.

Grey Activation & PR was also recognized for its work alongside Grey New York for client The Gun Shop’s States United to Prevent Gun Violence initiative in the same category.

The PR Lions are set to be announced on Tuesday afternoon, or Tuesday night local time in Cannes. Edelman and Ketchum are the two most nominated PR firms, each registering six nominations across the 35 categories in the PR Lions. Weber Shandwick, Ogilvy Public Relations, Fuel Communications, and MSLGroup are among the other agencies with multiple nominations.

Ruder Finn won a Bronze Lion for its work on Protecting Our Tomorrows: Portraits of Meningococcal Disease for Novartis Vaccines’ Bexsero brand in the Health Lions. However, few other PR firms even appeared on the shortlist for the Health Lions.
