CARSON CITY, NV: The Nevada Division of Tourism is seeking firms for international office sales and PR representation in France, Brazil, Australia, and India.
According to separate RFP documents released last week, the state is seeking agency partners that can reach media, tour operators, travel agents, and consumers. The scope of work, as stated in each document, includes sales plan development, travel trade services, travel trade and consumer fulfillment, updating the Division of Tourism on relevant developments, website creation and maintenance, and quarterly report management.
The successful bidder per contract will also be responsible for developing positive relationships with Nevada trade contract representatives in each country, according to documents.
Each RFP also requires English fluency and knowledge and experience in dealing with both Nevada and the respective country’s cultures.
The winning firm will also be tasked to develop a media relations program and a PR program, the latter of which is required each month.
Contracts are expected to start January 1, 2016, running through at least June 30, 2017, with a two-year renewal option. One exception is the India market contract, which should start on October 13, 2015.
Available annual budgets vary by contract for 2016 and 2017, ranging from $125,000 to $170,500.
Responses to the India market RFP are due July 6, while Brazil representation bids are due July 14, followed by July 15 and July 27 deadlines for the France and Australian markets, respectively.
In April, the state awarded firms in South Korea and in the UK to promote international travel to Nevada in those markets. In January, Fahlgren Mortine was named Nevada's integrated marketing AOR, winning a $20.2 million, 29-month contract.
