The agency has held the account since 2012, and the new brief is for three years.
Davies Tanner is to implement a programme of stakeholder activity, media relations and campaign management, as well as strategic counsel to the business events team. It is also to promote Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink.
In addition, the specialist travel and tourism agency is to support VisitScotland’s business events team to attract product launches, brand events, conferences and congresses to the country.
A spokesman for Davies Tanner said Scotland’s profile "has never been higher". "Now it’s about converting that energy and excitement into bringing business events to Scotland."
The account was held by Porter Novelli until 2012. Pagoda Porter Novelli, that agency’s successor, was not part of the four-way pitch for the account this year.
