MHP revealed its ‘30 To Watch’ 2015 winners this month. The agency’s annual awards recognise young journalists who are making their mark on the media industry. Special gold awards were given to six rising stars above. Meet Clodagh Pickavance, who built her own 6ft 6in door and dragged it around London in the hope of landing her dream role in PR. Here she is at the PrettyGreen offices, trying to get a #FootInTheDoor.
The W team launched the Aperol Spritz Social summer campaign with a mystery 321 Routemaster bus. Lucky commuters who boarded the bus in east London were whisked away to an event in Canary Wharf where Jaime Winstone played a surprise DJ set. The Aperol Spritz Socials will be rolled out across the UK this summer, heading to Bristol, Brighton, Manchester and London.
Five years ago, Stella Tooth, former head of publicity at Sky News, traded in PR for a paintbrush. She is now a portrait painter and founding member of The Lots Road Group of artists. The group teamed up with the International Women’s Forum UK to mark their 25th anniversary. Tooth drew Geraldine Sharpe-Newton, former comms head at ITN and CNN International and current president of The Media Society.
Here is Alan Edwards, Outside Organisation founder, with Allison Janney who played White House press secretary CJ Cregg in The West Wing – real life meets fictional PR. The pair were at an event at The Playboy Club for the band Jack Pack, who were finalists on last year’s Britain’s Got Talent.
