NEW YORK: Robert Dowling, president of FleishmanHillard’s US East Region and GM of New York, has left the firm, effective immediately.
Dowling has exited to pursue other opportunities, said Stephanie Marchesi, senior partner, CMO, and MD of global client relations at Fleishman, via email.
"We thank [Dowling] for his years of service and wish him continued success in his new endeavors," she said.
JJ Carter, regional president of the US Western region, Canada, and Mexico, has assumed Dowling’s management responsibilities as regional president overseeing New York and Boston and GM of New York.
Carter will also have oversight of Fleishman units such as High Road Communications, Lois Paul & Partners, and TogoRun.
"We have strong management teams in place in these offices, and we will continue to deliver the high level of service that our clients expect from FleishmanHillard," Marchesi added.
Dowling joined Fleishman from Weber Shandwick, where he served as president of its New York operations, in spring 2012. He previously managed the Interpublic Group firm’s Northern California operations and led its technology practice in North America.
