Your call: What was Twitter thinking putting marketing under its CFO?

Masterstroke or major mistake?

In an unusual move, Twitter put its marketing department under CFO Anthony Noto, who will oversee the group until he hires a CMO, according to numerous reports. Marketing was previously under the product department.

Before that, Twitter comms leader Gabriel Stricker oversaw marketing for the microblogging platform.

What’s your take? Is the decision an unorthodox marketing masterstroke for Twitter? Or another blunder since the company went public? Take our poll below, or tweet at @PRWeekUS with your thoughts.
