It’s finally happened – Hillary Clinton has competition, and in an independent. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders entered the 2016 presidential race as a Democrat on Thursday.
Clinton didn’t seem troubled by the competition, though. In fact, Slate says Sanders could be an asset to her.
I agree with Bernie. Focus must be on helping America's middle class. GOP would hold them back. I welcome him to the race. –H— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) April 30, 2015
The GOP candidates didn’t make a major splash over the past week. Outlets such as Slate continued to examine Ted Cruz’s decision to attend a fundraiser instead of voting against Loretta Lynch’s confirmation as Attorney General. Rand Paul faced criticism for his reaction to the unrest in Baltimore, while Marco Rubio took a stance against the Obama administration’s deal with Iran.
So, which presidential hopeful won in the media this week?
