PRWeek Awards Asia receives record entries

China generated the most entries, while Consumer Launch Campaign of the Year will be the most hotly contested category.

The PRWeek Awards Asia received a new record total of 625 entries this year, a 19 percent increase over last year's sum of 526. 

China led the pack with 152 entries submitted, followed by Singapore with 108 and Hong Kong with 90. The Consumer Launch Campaign of the Year category will see the toughest fight, with 40 campaigns competing for the title. Competition for Corporate Social Responsibility will also be difficult, with 39 entries vying for the win.

Next, the 71 members of the PRWeek Awards Asia jury will convene in Singapore to discuss the entries from across Asia-Pacific.

The jury will unveil its shortlist through on 27 May.
