It currently has two public affairs agencies: MHP Communications, which has worked with it for over a decade, and Pagefield.

Both agencies have been invited to repitch for the public affairs work, which will be consolidated with one agency.

MHP Communications managing director Nick Laitner said: "We are looking forward to continuing our long and successful relationship with Camelot."

Pagefield confirmed that it is involved.

Richard Hickson, Camelot’s head of policy and public affairs, said: "We have enjoyed longstanding and successful relationships with both of our current agencies. However, we believe the time is right to review our public affairs agency brief, with a single agency supporting us in the future."

Camelot has been the operator of The National Lottery since 1994, winning three licence competitions in the process. Its licence to operate The National Lottery runs until 2023.

The closing date for submissions is Friday 24 April.
