RSA is hoping to appoint an agency by the end of April with the new website to launch by the end of the year.
The website needs to address RSA's audience, which includes customers, investors, media employees and brokers.
The group currently works with Brunswick for corporate PR and consumer agency Cow PR for its car, home, pet and travel insurance brand 'MORE TH>N'. Advertising agencuse VCCP and Vizeum also work on the consumer side.
The process is being overseen by head of digital comms, Carmen Whitelock.
Whitelock said: "Our aim is to create a corporate web presence that other listed companies look to as an example of best practice, and that most importantly, our visitors enjoy using."
