Capdase chooses Edelman Indonesia to handle marketing around store launch

Edelman Indonesia will be handling both online and on-ground promotional activities around the launch of Capdase's first outlet in Indonesia.

JAKARTA -Hong Kong-based electronics accessory brand Capdase has hired Edelman to manage promotion and communications around the launch of its first flagship store in Indonesia.

The agency has already started handling the brand's online promotion, social media engagements, media relations and the launch even itself which took place earlier this month. The approach aimes to maximise reach and drive consumers to eh store, said Julien Courant, managing director of brand & digital, Edelman Indonesia.

The appointment, says the agency, represents a step forward in its plans to 'transform' itself from a PR agency into a integrated communication services firm.

"The brand is already highly popular among Indonesian youth and enjoys a well-established presence in the market," said Derek Mak, founder and executive direcor of Capdase International. "We are very excited to launch our first global outlet here in Jakarta – we have high expectations. Edelman came in with a deep and insightful understanding of our target audience supported by strong creative ideas executions."
