Tetra Strategy founders announce split

The founders of public affairs firm Tetra Strategy have announced they are "dividing the business" to go their separate ways after eight years.

Founder James O’Keefe will continue to run Tetra Strategy while co-founder Lee Petar will run a new company called Aperture Communications.

O'Keefe told PRWeek: "Every now and again you want a change and Lee and I felt that dividing the business would be better for both us and staff. We both want to run our own operations."

Tetra Strategy, whose clients in the past have included timber firm BSW and carbon capture firm Sargas, will retain the majority of the company's clients while some will move to Aperture, O'Keefe added.

In a joint statement the founders said: "The decision to separate into two companies has been planned for a number of months. We believe that both companies will go from strength to strength, and wish each other well in what is an exciting time for us all."
