Lexis has decided not to repitch for the work. The relationship with Costa was originally held by Paratus Communications, which was acquired by Lexis in 2012. The agency has continued to work on the account since then.

Dominic Shales, managing director of Lexis, said: "We are tremendously proud of our work with Costa over the past seven years and we continue to work on its CSR programme."

Costa currently works with Australian PR agency One Green Bean, part of Havas Worldwide, on consumer projects. One Green Bean has launched a London office since winning the Costa work in November last year.

Costa also works with b2b and corporate PR agency Camargue, on property and trade work.

Kerry Parkin, head of corporate comms at Costa, said: "As the Costa business continues to evolve, we have taken the opportunity to review our PR agency roster. As a result we have decided to take the press office activity out to pitch.

"We thank the team at Lexis for their hard work in building the Costa brand with us. To confirm, Lexis continues to work with us on our CSR activities.

"We will be making an announcement in the coming weeks concerning our new press office agency."
