NEW YORK: Hill+Knowlton Strategies has promoted Michael Kehs to global energy practice director. He previously led the US energy practice and H+K’s Houston office. Kehs will hold the position in addition to his US and GM roles.

NEW YORK: M&C Saatchi PR has appointed Laura Hall as US MD and head of its New York office, which is the agency’s US headquarters. She joined the company at the start of the year after leading her own communications consultancy. Hall has worked at Burson-Marsteller, FleishmanHillard, and Weber Shandwick, among other firms.

WASHINGTON: FTI Consulting has expanded its North American energy and natural resources industry team in its strategic communications group by hiring Kristina Moore as MD in Washington, DC, as Brian Grove as MD in Houston. Moore was previously a congressional aide, while Grove was most recently deputy secretary of Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

NEW YORK: NBCUniversal has promoted Ndidi Oriji to SVP of advertising standards, reporting to Alan Wurtzel, president of research and media development. She will lead a department tasked with reviewing all advertising airing on NBC’s broadcast network.

NEW YORK: M Group Strategic Communications, formerly known as JMR Worldwide NY, has completed a year-long agency transition and rebranding process. Its headquarters are at 7 World Trade Center in Manhattan.

PORTLAND, OR: R2C Group has appointed Mark Toner as its first CMO, overseeing all marketing and agency growth. He recently launched Add Toner, a growth accelerator for emerging brands, and previously was managing partner of Source Marketing.

NEW YORK: Water & Wall Group has hired Matt Kirdahy as SVP. He previously was VP in the corporate practice at Ogilvy Public Relations, working with clients including State Street, Fidelity Investments, and Barclays Wealth America. Previously, he was a journalist.

DUNWOODY, GA: Mini-hamburger chain Krystal has formalized its agency roster. Ink Link Marketing will handle PR and promotions as AOR, while 22Squared was named creative AOR. NewFire Media is serving as digital AOR, while The Johnson Group is co-op and media buying AOR.

NEW YORK: International Data Group, a media, events, and research company, has named Josh London to the newly created position of CMO for IDG Communications. He is reporting to Michael Friedenberg, CEO of IDG Communications Worldwide. London previously was founder and managing partner of Salt Island Ventures.

PLYMOUTH, MA: Ovuline, a developer of mobile apps for pregnant women, has named Hollywood PR as its AOR. JMATEK North America also recently hired the firm.
