Judo Payments appoints Propeller for PR remit

Judo Payments, the mobile payments platform, has brought in Propeller to raise awareness of the business, following a competitive pitch.

The account was previously held by financial and corporate comms agency Citigate Dewe Rogerson.
Judo Payments, which enables consumers to pay for goods via mobile phones, is currently used at food and drink outlets including KFC, Harris + Hoole and Hummus Bros.
The company recently closed a funding round of £6m led by venture capital firm Route 66 Ventures, which will be used to increase resources in a bid for business expansion.
Judo CEO Dennis Jones said: "Propeller will play a key role this year in helping us to tell our story to the trade and national media, raising awareness of the business and positioning us at the forefront of the mobile commerce revolution."
Kieran Kent, managing director of Propeller PR, said: "Mobile commerce is a really exciting area and brands are increasingly turning to this technology to engage with customers, boost revenues and drive loyalty."
