NEW YORK: Warner Music Group has promoted James Steven to EVP for communications and marketing, effective immediately. He will continue to report to CEO Steve Cooper. Steven joined Warner Music in 2007 as part of its communications team in London and relocated to New York in 2012 as SVP of communications and marketing.

RALEIGH, NC: Brand Napa Valley winery has named French/West/Vaughan as its AOR for integrated marketing initiatives including brand strategy and positioning, communications, and creative execution. It will help the company boost awareness among high-end consumer media and industry and trade influencers.

ALEXANDRIA, VA: RedPeg Marketing has promoted David Shackley to president, effective immediately. He was previously EVP and creative director. Shackley will manage operations, client engagement, strategic planning, creative, production, and business development.

NEW YORK: Kirt Rothe has joined SpecOps Communications as SVP of the firm’s military, law enforcement, and tactical practice. He previously served as branch chief of the Department of Homeland Security’s Glynco Training Directorate. Rothe has also served in the US Army, rising to the rank of major, and in roles at DHS.

BRECKENRIDGE, CO: MJPayment has hired Wilson Lass Brandon to raise awareness of its integrated cash-management service for the legal marijuana industry. The agency team will develop a strategic plan and create a brand look and feel for the company, it said in a statement.

BARCELONA: PubMatic has debuted programmatic native advertising on its One Platform for publishers. The service helps publishers and media buyers develop targeted native ad units.
