Premier expands games division ahead of director Simon Byron's departure

Premier, the London-based entertainment and arts PR agency, is expanding its games team to coincide with division head Simon Byron leaving the company at the end of June.

The agency has promoted Gareth Williams to senior account director, running the day-to-day activity of the games division.

He will be supported by existing team members from other areas of the agency, including creative director Leigh Debbage, director of Home Entertainment and lifestyle Steven Pearson and digital and social strategy director Chris Rice, who joined the agency earlier this month.

The agency said it had no plans to appoint a new director of its games division, as the expanded team will replace the previous structure.

The games division's clients include Candy Crush, The Pokémon Company InternationalBAFTA and Square Enix.
