PRWeek reported on the pitch earlier this month.

Fever replaces incumbent Pretty Green, which was originally appointed in 2013. Pretty Green did not repitch for the account.

Fever will develop campaigns to promote the brand in the UK, as well as manage the global press office, influencer programme and Deezer’s network of PR teams across all markets.

Conor Maples, international PR manager at Deezer, said: "The music industry is such an exciting place to be right now, where the rules are being rewritten and competition is healthier than ever. That means we need an agile, smart agency whose ideas are not only clever enough to help us make this brand more famous, but also act as an integral strategic partner. Fever demonstrated this at each stage of the selection process."

The account will be led by Bruce McLachlan, joint managing director of Fever.

McLachlan said: "2015 is a big year for Deezer and we’re thrilled to be able to work with it at this key point in the brand’s development. The music space is very crowded, so our job will be to develop campaigns rooted in audience insight that can change behaviours as well as deliver brand fame."
