NEW YORK: Percepture Travel launched last Friday, led by Rene Mack, former president of Weber Shandwick’s global travel practice, and one-time Edelman travel practice president Cathleen Johnson. Percepture has also brought on former USA Today travel section editor Veronica Stoddart.

MIAMI: Republica has appointed Tony Arner to the role of CFO. Previously, he was corporate controller for the espresso coffee operations at JM Smucker and worked at automotive retailer AutoNation.

NEW YORK: Joint health supplement Osteo Bi-Flex has retained MWW as it launches a national education campaign about the importance of joint health. The initiative will inform US consumers about what steps they can take to strengthen their joints.

ATLANTA: Church’s Chicken has named Ink Link Marketing as its PR agency of record. It will support product rollouts, marketing campaigns, and development opportunities for the QSR brand.

PHOENIX: Harlem Globetrotters International is partnering with five firms as it celebrates the team’s 90th anniversary. The company is working with United Talent Agency, Whistle Sports, Licensing Street, and Lead Dog Marketing. It continues to work with Coyne PR on communications.

BOSTON: Racepoint Global has hired Edward Christopher as EVP of account services. Previously, he ran the Volkswagen North America business at Crispin Porter + Bogusky and led the agency’s work onboarding Infiniti.

PHOENIX: The Public Relations Society of America’s Counselors Academy has elected Abbie Fink, VP and GM of HMP Public Relations, as its chair. Counselors Academy is the national professional interest section of PRSA.

WASHINGTON: DBC PR + Social Media has been hired as AOR by handcrafted soda maker Q Drinks and Kitchensurfing, a private chef service. It will launch a national media campaign for Kitchensurfing and work to raise awareness of Q Drinks’ portfolio, it said in a statement.
