National Pizza Day vs. National Bagel Day: Too much for Twitter users to chew on?

Lots of choices on the menu for Twitter users on Monday.

Attention, carb-lovers! Monday is National Pizza Day, but if that doesn’t fulfill your bready desires, it’s also National Bagel Day. If nothing else, the dueling food holidays mean social media marketers have been busy.

The range of brands choosing to embrace #NationalPizzaDay are diverse, including sports teams, beverage brands, retailers, and even an animal rights group, along with the expected pizza chains. Yet those showing their support for #NationalBagelDay are more conventional, including breakfast chains and cream cheese brands.

And, of course, some users hedged their bets and decided pizza and bagels are better together.
